Name: Mya Age: Over 18 Contact: beheremya@plurk Timezone: EST Other Character(s): No |
Name: Ezri (Tigan) Dax Door: Submissive Canon: Star Trek: Deep Space 9 Canon Point: s7ep25 Age: 21/22 ish Appearance: Ezri is said to have eyes like Jadzia as they are blue. She is shorter though, standing 5'5" tall. She has very short brown hair that she tends to brush off to one side, and she also have a little beauty mark above the right side of her lip. Being a Trill, she has a set of marks running down each side of her body, starting at her temple down to her toes. She is petite, but feminine. She is played by Nicole de Boer. History: http://en.memory-alpha.org/wiki/Ezri_Dax Personality: Positive Trait: PEPPY She can be hyper and bright and warm-hearted, but she also has moments of doubt. She is still young and had no training for being joined, and everything is overwhelming. Yet, she never gives up. She continues forward, and although there might be some bumps and bruises along the way, she gets back up (sometimes with aid) and moves forward. She does have access to the memories of previous hosts and she does use them although sometimes she isn’t suite sure how or whose she is. She does become friends with the people on DS9. She even has supper with Captain Boday, with whom Jadzia had had a few dates. She slept with Worf, but they both realize that that was a mistake. It might have been rocky with him until the end, but even when it was rocky, she still stole a runabout and went out looking for him. She becomes friends with Kira and Odo, and with Benjamin, he is more mentoring her than she him. Day by day she does grow and learn, and she doesn't give up. Even after everything, she can be warm and cheerful, offering help or assistance when she can. Even with a certain Cardassian who may or may not be a spy... Negative Trait: CONFUSED Confused. That is a good way to describe Ezri. Unlike other Trills, Ezri did not study to become joined but became joined because the Dax symbiont had taken a turn for the worse after leaving Jadzia and Ezri was the only Trill on board. She had little time to get used to the idea and like most Trills, who she was did change. She had been dating someone prior to joining, but after, they just didn’t work. According to her, Ezri had never even wanted to be joined and it was quite by accident that she was. At her low points, she considers it a gift that she doesn’t deserve. While she does becomes more certain of herself, in the beginning, she is very befuddled. She tends to talk a lot, rambling on and on and on, especially when she is nervous. Which, as it happens, tends to be quite often. At times the other hosts do overwhelm her. She thinks that she is emotional because of Emony, and doesn’t know how to keep from breaking into tears or how to resist the urge to stand on her head. Negative Trait: INFERIORITY One thing that really bothers Ezri is being compared to the other hosts. In the beginning, she did not find herself worthy of even carrying the Dax host. Worf, especially, had a tendency to compare her to Jadzia, even though he did not want to talk about her and Jadzia. When annoyed or peeved, she would point out that Oh, I bet Jadzia would have been able to do it! She can be quite stubborn. Yet, as it is said about her, once she realizes she is more than the sum of her parts, she is really going to be something. Unfortunately, it is taking a bit of getting used to, having all these strange memories. She is aware that others will need to take some time getting used to the fact that she is Ezri, but that she has all of Jadzia’s memories. She doesn’t tend to push others but she is still trying to figure out who she is. Negative Trait: ERRATIC Ezri had been considered to be an up and coming Starfleet member, but being joined turned everything upside down. As she said, sometimes she wakes up in the morning and she can’t remember if she is male or female. When she met with her family after being joined, she also introduced herself as Curzon, who had been the host prior to Jadzia. She was just an assistant counselor before joining, but Benjamin was able to get her promoted, pointing out that what else did she have left to learn that she had not learned in all of Dax’s other lifetimes? Speaking of being a counselor, most people tend to be shocked that she is on. Everyone is surprised, although its not that far of a fetch. After all, Dax has played the role of mentor to other people, just never in a formal fashion. Ezri is still unsure of herself though but she does try her best. She knew that others might not want another Dax in their life, especially Worf as he had married Jadzia. She was willing to take those things into consideration, and knew that it would take people time to get used to the idea. As she states, she tended to have the same conversation over and over again, with people pointing out that they could see this host here or that host there in her. Powers and Abilities: Nothing supernatural or magical. Just mainly things that can be taught. She is a joined Trill with the Dax symbiont but that is a work in progress as she just got thrust into that situation. She has Starfleet training and has been trained as a counselor. It is still relatively new but she got a field promotion after joining. Let's say Dax has been around a long time and has plenty of knowledge that Ezri can draw on - once she gets properly settled. Ezri becomes the 9th host of the Dax symbiont by chance. She was the only Trill when the symbiont took a turn for the worse. She did not train or ever have aspirations to be joined. The symbiont lives within her and they work as a team in a manner of speaking. The symbiont stores memories of previous hosts- and her! Ezri is able to have access to them but that also leads to her being all jumbled. She didn't go to school nor really prepare to be joined. Inventory: tricorder, picture of her family, spare clothes Samples: [NETWORK] [The face that shows up is one that holds a confused expression. Her brows are furrowed and her lips are slightly pursed. She has short dark hair, blue eyes, and markings down either side of her face. For a moment, she just looks. Looks at the feed, before she speaks.] Hi. I mean, hello. I mean, I think someone can hear this, right? It seems a bit archaic, or not quite what Star Fleet uses, but I guess this isn’t Star Fleet either- I mean I know its not Star Fleet- [Okay. Rambling. Taking a breath.] My name’s- [Another pause. While she is going better with all those memories, sometimes she still needs to think about it.] I’m Ezri, counsellor about Deep Space 9, and I’m not exactly sure what is going on… And their whole story doesn't really make a whole lot of sense. I mean, I’ve been confused in the past, and sometimes I have to think about whether I am male or female when I wake up, but this… This is a whole new level of confused. You see, I was- [Okay. Actually. Saying where she was the last moment she could remember was perhaps not the best idea, given where that had been, but] – I was on a space station. And now I am not. At least, I don’t think I am, unless it is some sort of a holosuite program, but Quark wouldn’t do that- [And, rambling again.] What I mean to say is, I would appreciate any aid or information that anyone could provide. I was supposed to be leaving on a mission, but the mission wasn’t this. [THIRD PERSON] Well. That’s wonderful. [She has been through orientations before, well, not just her... Dax has, on different occasions and for different reasons. She'd had a crash course not too long ago because hello, she had not gone through the Trill Initiate Program. Joining had not been on the list of things that she had wanted to accomplish with her life. She knows that others had, that they had trained, some kicked out, gotten back in. That drive, that determination. It just had never been something that she had planned. But surprise! Now she has a worm in her belly and multiple people in her head...] Come on, Zee, you have other things to worry about right now. [Maybe speaking to oneself isn't exactly the best sign but given everything, with this being the cherry on top, she deserved it, no? She wasn't crazy, she still isn't crazy, and she just needs to take everything one step at a time, right? Breath in, breath out.] Here goes nothing. [Because she can do this. She glances around the bus, and thinks maybe she shouldn't have as her cheeks flush. You would think with someone like Curzon kicking around in there that she wouldn't, but again, the whole joining thing it still really new and Ezri is still Ezri, she's not just Ezri. It's complicated and confusing, and as she has so far survived that, she can survive this, right? She gives that nervous tug on her collar as she steps down the aisle, one foot in front of the other, until there is a spot that maybe she can take. There is some irony to it, because maybe she is Submissive. Not in the bend over and bow sense, but she definitely isn't like Curzon or Jadzia.] Do you mind? I mean, can I- well, is this seat taken? Or floor, because I guess I'm supposed to sit on the floor, and sitting on your lap seems a little forward because we are strangers and I don't even know your name. But, I guess you also don't know my name, and here I am, just rambling my head off- [And she likely would just keep going, but she's run out of breath.] |
